Aren't we having some beautiful weather?!!!:)

Didn't you all enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend? It made me so excited for spring, and it tricked me into getting out all of my summer clothes and flip flops(so mean)! It was sooo warm, and spring-like, and now...okay, that's kind of a sore subject! So, after yesterday's rain, and todays rain, (and probably tomorrow's rain), and not to mention the cold, cold, cold, I ventured out to take some pictures...
This is my dog Annie. Though she might have had some fun earlier...
...She feels miserable now.

I was rejoicing in the melting snow...
...but yes, it is still there,(hopefully not for long).

I was playing basketball in shorts(outside) on Friday...and now there is ice on the basketball goal...
...and on the net...
ice, ice, ice...:(
Well, maybe it will get warmer and prettier...
Soon we will be able to say...
"See! The Winter is past; the rains are over and gone"
~Song of Solomons 2:11

I am trusting that God has the perfect spring in mind for us! Here's a great reminder to wait...
"But if we wait for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently"
~Romans 8:25

So long! Enjoy the weather!

Did anyone see that moon last night?

Wow! What a beautiful moon last night! Did anyone else see it? It was BEAUTIFUL! My camera was kind of acting up, but I got a little picture of it...
Wow God! You are so amazing! Thanks for the picture!

Blessings to living in the country

Yes, there are some wild and crazy things that occur on a farm, but the beauty, peacefulness, quiet, and yes, the animals too, trumps all of that!
...foggy, peaceful mornings...
...moments where you just have to say, "Wow God"!
Moments where you are almost tempted to say, "I like winter"
...Times where I think, "Now, this is great, if we could just stop the movie right here. I think I would like to be doing this for a while!"

When You Live On A Farm...

When you live on a farm, life is a little different... If you didn't know, during the months of January, February, and March, many different animals are born. My family has baby sheep that come into this world during these cold months. How many of you can say that on occasion, baby lambs are allowed in the house to run around the kitchen? Well that happened in our house last Night!:) We had some lambs (so cute) that lost their Mom, and so guess what... we became their Moms! And man, they are soooooo spoiled!
This is Peyton- her brother is Manning! Yes, we got them on  Sunday during a Colts game!

There are some other things that you only see in the country; like a random coyote running on the edge of our yard! (Can you imagine how crazy our dogs went?) Oh! And you better watch out, because if you are near the barn, there is a strong possibility that you might step in the mark of a chicken:) Or better yet, actually step on one!
These are four of our 24 chickens! And it is such a joy to clean their coop! (just kiddin')
Sometimes, when you go outside to the barn to feed the animals, it is not unusual to glance in the sheep pen and to be surprised by a new baby lamb next to it's mother! Or a dog that gives you the most pitiful face that says "look at how cold, and miserable I am. Can I come in please?"

Winter-Remember it's a Blessing

I love the seasons and it is such a blessing to live where we have them, but I am really ready for spring!!!!!!!!!!!!I am so ready to be able to go outside without a coat on, to walk barefoot through the grass, to wear something other than long sleeve shirts and jeans, and to go swimming! Can't wait! Patience, Patience! I always have to remind myself when I am feeling anxious for the change of season that,  "There is a time for everything, a season for everything under Heaven."-Ecclesiastes 3:1
